Colleen Leahey McKeegan is currently a senior features editor at Marie Claire. She oversees the magazine’s @Work brand and edits well features.

Before joining Marie Claire, Colleen was the senior programming director at Bloomberg LIVE, where she helped build Bloomberg’s conference business. Before that, she managed Fortune’s Most Powerful Women franchise. She launched and edited the MPW channel on Fortune.com, programed MPW summits and other events, and worked with Fortune’s editorial and business sides to expand MPW in the digital and the live media spaces. Colleen created and was named co-chair of MPW Next Gen, Fortune’s first-ever conference for women who are on track to be Most Powerful Women someday soon.

Colleen was also a reporter at Fortune and covered leadership, retail, technology, and small business. She’s interviewed Sara Blakely, Warren Buffett, Chelsea Handler, Mellody Hobson, Arianna Huffington, Emily White, and many other successful leaders and innovators.

In the years leading up to her time at Fortune, Colleen interned at the New Yorker, assisting Ryan Lizza and Jane Mayer with investigative pieces.

A native of Allentown, Pa., she graduated from Georgetown University in 2011 with a BA degree in government and English.
